SCREEN PRINTING:
To make a screen print and image has to be printed onto a fine mesh: this is the start. You then need to find a range of media to print onto: paper, cloth and fabric and you also need some acrylic paint to create the print. Use a squeegee to spread the paint across the mesh, spreading the paint onto the paper and forming these prints.
This process was more of an art based form then a photography based form and I found that the process of printing an image onto a fine mesh meant that you lost a lot of detail from the image and it became a 'blocky' and outlined piece of art work rather then a photograph. I wanted to experiment with this process to see what the final outcome looked like but unfortunately I do not like this process and I find the finished images look too vague and simple.
